Why is electrical load calculation important?

Without accurate load calculation, cables, breakers, and transformers get incorrectly sized, leading to overload, voltage drop, and fire risk. That is why connected load and maximum demand are calculated at the very start of the design.

What approvals are needed to set up a sub-station?

Depending on the transformer capacity and area, approval is required from BPDB, DPDC, DESCO, or REB. We provide full support with design, documentation, and the submission process.

Does Power Factor Improvement (PFI) really lower the bill?

Yes. Utility companies impose penalties for poor power factor, and line losses increase. Installing a proper PFI plant improves the power factor, reduces penalties, and significantly lowers the electricity bill.

What is Accord and RSC electrical compliance?

In the garments sector, Accord and RSC set specific electrical safety standards for international buyers—such as proper cable management, circuit protection, and earthing. We provide complete design and documentation support to pass these audits.

Why is earthing so important?

Proper earthing reduces the risk of electric shock, equipment damage, and fire. We design and test earth pits so that earth resistance stays within the specified safe limits (typically 1–5 ohms, and even lower for sensitive equipment).

Do you only design, or do you also install?

We do both design and installation. You can take consultancy/design only, or opt for a turn-key solution from design through complete installation and commissioning.

What capacity (kVA) should my sub-station be?

It depends on your connected load, maximum demand and diversity factor. We run a load calculation to determine the right transformer and sub-station capacity, including allowance for future expansion.

How is generator sizing determined?

We size the kVA based on essential load, starting current (especially motors) and future demand; where needed, we design backup with synchronizing and ATS.

How long does a project take?

Depending on size and complexity, design takes from a few days to a few weeks, and installation varies by project. We confirm a precise timeline after a site visit.
